About

Accounting should explain itself.

RiseWell exists because too many founders, small teams and charity boards receive their numbers without ever being told what they mean.

The founder

Hi, I'm Haroon.

I've spent my whole career in accounting and finance, and the work has been varied: preparing accounts and tax returns, and working on audits and independent examinations, much of it in the charity sector. I've also produced the kind of board-level reports that trustees rely on to make big decisions. The biggest lesson? The numbers are rarely the hard part. Explaining them is.

I've watched capable, smart people nod along to finance updates they didn't really understand, because nobody had taken the time to explain what the figures meant for them. Small business owners get the same treatment: a set of accounts once a year and a tax bill, with no idea how one led to the other.

For charities there's an extra layer. Depending on your size, the law requires either an independent examination or an audit of your accounts. Having worked on both sides of that process, I know what examiners and auditors look for. I can help you get your records, controls and reporting in order well before year-end, so the review goes smoothly and nothing catches you out.

So I founded RiseWell Accounting to do it differently. Modern tools, fixed fees, and a promise that you'll always understand your own numbers. Not just the total, but what's behind it.

“Accounting that explains itself, so founders and small teams understand their numbers, not just receive them.”

Our mission

How we work

Three words we hold ourselves to.

  1. Clear

If we can't explain it simply, we haven't finished the job.

Every report comes with a plain-English note. No unexplained acronyms, ever.

  2. Warm

Nobody should feel daft for asking what a balance sheet is.

You'll deal with a real person who knows your business, not a ticket queue.

  3. Capable

    Friendly doesn't mean lightweight.

Accounts done properly, to the right standard, filed on time. Every time.

Let's talk about your numbers.
